Annie Greenfeld-Wisner

After moving to Long Beach in 1999 Annie quickly got involved in the community.  In 2002 Annie co-founded the Neighborhood Advisory Group (NAG), and in 2004 co-founded Better Balance for Long Beach (BBLB).  She has served on the Board of Wrigley Association for 4 years and currently is the President.  In her third year on the Central Project Area Committee (CPAC), Annie is serving as Chair until June, 2010.  Annie is also in her fifth year serving as a Commissioner on the Community Development Advisory Commission (CDAC).

Annie serves on many other boards and community groups including Neighborhoods First.  Annie graduated from the Neighborhood Leadership Program (NLP) in 2003.In 2006, BBLB won first place in the multi-neighborhood category of Neighborhoods USA (NUSA) national awards conference.  For the past 4 years, BBLB has been working to improve the quality of life in the 14th Street Park neighborhood.Her work on CPAC and NAG has led to a major redevelopment project in Wrigley Village.  NAG has been successful in cleaning up several blocks that were formerly havens for drug dealers.Annie has also helped lead the efforts to put on the Daisy Christmas Tree Lane and MLK parades.
