Karen Hesler

Karen Hester is a mother of two boys, Allen (23) and Brian (20), and is married to Phil, who is the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine for the City of Long Beach .  She has worked for the City of Long Beach  for 22 years and is currently the Executive Assistant to the City Attorney.  She has been active in her kids' education and sports activities, as she volunteered as team Mom for her boys' baseball and football teams and was the Booster President for the Lakewood High School Baseball team.  During this time, she participated in many events that supported the children as well as the program.  She enjoys running and is a member of “A Running Experience Club” and “Team Runners High.” With her involvement in these running groups, she has created incredible friendships and participates in many events.
